For lovers of beautiful and rare cars it is a lasting value, which is eagerly awaited. On the 26th and 27th of May, Marcel Seidel Auktionen is organizing a traditional car auction in Ladenburg, Germany. This year is again dedicated to the exhibition of unique documents and other vehicles. In addition, the German auction house is organizing a special auction during the same event. It features two Porsche anniversaries and a wonderful collection around the legendary Edgar Barth.
“This time we are once again offering a truly spectacular show,” says Automobila-Ladenburg boss Marcel Seidel about the upcoming spring auction. “We are reflecting on two special Porsche anniversaries that are taking place this year. Porsche’s 75th anniversary and 60e The anniversary of the Porsche 911 is discussed in detail. Furthermore, we have succeeded in delivering the great legacy of German motorsport legend Edgar Barth,” says Seidel.
The Edgar Barth Collection
Seidel and his team put together a new, full-blown auction list. And that’s a good sign of a new spring auction. As announced, the organization prides itself on the complete and immediate expertise of the house: the legacy of the Edgar Barth race. The three-time European mountain champion and overall winner of the Targa Florio in 1959 was and is a German racing legend.
When asked about the summary of the auction, Seidel was happy to mention the very first Scuderia-Ferrari yearbook, which describes the first two years of work 1930-31 and thus the first racing success on 84 pages in very good condition.
Great Dunlop driver suit
Another special piece, according to Marcel Seidel, is a two-piece Dunlop drivers’ suit, which was worn by German racing legend Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips. It is the suit used during the 1959 and 1960 Ferrari seasons. The auction highlights listed are only a small selection of the large selection that will be auctioned. Because during Automobilia Ladenburg the organizers also offer smaller and larger car shows. In a typical auction catalog alone you will find more than two thousand pieces of cars and related items, often of great historical value.
Lots of options to offer
There are several options to offer. The best thing is to be at the auction yourself. This will be held on May 26 and 27 Automuseum Dr. Carl Benz in Ladenburg. But you can also bid through other channels. You can already do this online after registration. You can also bid by phone. Of course you can also bid online during auction days. The general catalog has 1977 pieces. And in the catalog in which the legacy of Edgar Barth and the two Porsche archives are central, you will find 705 special pieces of cars and related items. A special auction of this will follow after the conclusion of the main auction. The first 1350 of these will be auctioned on Saturday, from 10am to 6pm. The second part of the auction – including the Edgar Barth/Porsche collection – will take place on Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Catalogs can be found below this linkwhich also takes you to the Automobilia Ladenburg website.
