Watch Koenigsegg One:1 With Bare Carbon-Fiber Body Hit The Streets

Some wild cars made an appearance at the Supercar Owners Circle Weekend in Spain. One of the most eye-catching machines was the Koenigsegg One:1 with a carbon fiber body. Crowds flocked to take his pictures.

The One:1 was a variant of the Agera, and the name referred to the weight-to-horsepower ratio. The twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 pumps out 1,360 horsepower (1,341 horsepower), and the car weighs 1,360 kilograms (2,998 pounds). The powertrain connects to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It can reach 249 miles per hour in about 20 seconds. An estimated top speed of 273 mph places the car among the fastest cars in the world.

The One:1 has a strong body that can generate 1,345 pounds of deceleration at 160 miles per hour. It rides on carbon fiber wheels that measure 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear. Brakes have 15.63-inch rotors in the front and 14.96-inch discs in the rear.

At low speeds, the One:1’s engine tip is very poor. Voice changes to crying as resuscitation increases.

Koenigsegg produced only six customer examples of the One:1, including the prototype. The extreme rarity means that seeing one is special and partly explains why the crowd is giving this machine so much attention.

The One:1 debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2014. It made its US debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, during Monterey Auto Week in 2015.

In 2019, Koenigsegg was outraged when Bonhams auctioned the One:1 with a sales estimate of between $1.8 million and $2.4 million. The company believed that the auction had undervalued the supercar. “For some reason, which we do not understand, Bonhams does not like to give an accurate starting point or an accurate estimate of the One: 1, as they have shown a complete lack of interest in the reliability of the facts and figures presented to them,” the automaker wrote. blog post at the time.
