I own a Toyota Matrix 2013 at the end of life, which I loved. This time I’m aiming for a Subaru Outback from 2019 to 2022.

Subaru Outback is reliable and stable. You will appreciate its comfort, the interior space it offers, but above all, its greater stability on the road compared to your previous car. It also has one of the best all-wheel drive systems in the industry, which you’ll be able to take full advantage of wherever you travel.

The 2.5 liter engine, although not very powerful, has been improved a lot over the years. Once known for its excessive oil consumption and knocking, it now proves its durability. However, maintenance is required with frequent oil changes that must be respected. More than with your Matrix, which had very low mechanics.

Additionally, you should know that maintenance costs will definitely be higher in Subaru and Outback than Toyota and Matrix. The price of parts explains this, but also the technology of the board that needs more maintenance.

It is better to downsize and choose a newer model than to choose a more luxurious, but old model. In any case, you will have more luxury than with the Matrix regardless of the version chosen.
