Northfield has no problem against Lincoln

Northfield can now point to a four-game winning streak after their most recent game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lincoln Lancers as the Northfield Nighthawks emerged victorious 16-6. That’s more bragging rights for Northfield, who also won the last pair of head-to-heads.

Adler Hickey looked comfortable as he threw 3.1 innings while giving up any earned runs on one hit (he also allowed just one walk). He has been consistent recently: he has not scored less than five goals in three consecutive games.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryder Wicks, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and a run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he has now stolen two or more in the last three games in which he has played. Another hitter was Aidan Krantz, who went 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBIs.

On the Lincoln side, Gio Castro made the most of his time at bat despite the final score and went 3-for-3 with four RBIs, a triple, and a run scored. Sam Trujillo was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Northfield has been on a roll lately as they have won three of their last four games, giving them a 6-4 record this season. As for Lincoln, it was their fourth straight loss on the road since last season, dropping their record to 1-4.

It didn’t take long for Northfield to hit the field again: they’ve already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Green Mountain on the 10th. As for Lincoln, they’ll hit the road against Kennedy at 4:15pm on Friday. Lincoln faces Kennedy at the right time as Kennedy is stuck on a five game losing streak.
