Genesis is the first Hyundai Group brand, so Lexus is for Toyota, and Infiniti to Nissan. Nissan tried for free with Infiniti in Europe, Toyota is more successful with Lexus. If Genesis also finds a basis, the future will show.
In any case, the first edition of the Hyundai Group has long-distance plans to enter the European market. That will happen this year. Maybe by summer already. The beginning then will introduce a new, interesting style in Europe, among others. The Korean car brand confirms that the new GV60 will also be available in Europe starting this year. Interested people can order an early Genesis GV60 soon.
Third looting on E-GMP architecture
This electric SUV ferry is built on Hyundai Group’s E-GMP platform. This platform also forms the basis of the recently successful Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The Beginning GV60 is not an eye-catching car, but state-of-the-art technology that thanks to this sophisticated platform allows you to immediately distinguish it from several competitors. The first Korean edition already launched more or less the GV60 last year but now confirms that the GV60 will be launched in Europe this summer. The beginning also provided details of the European versions of the GV60.
Not surprising but interesting
Following the launch of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 last year, this brings the number of models for sale based on the E-GMP platform up to three. Although the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 have been widely praised for their unique style, comments have been mixed after the first digital launch of the Genesis GV60 last summer. The lime color scheme was also something that not everyone is grateful for, of course.
Larger than shown in the picture
Like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Genesis GV60 does not look as big as the picture. It looks like a compact hatchback. But the GV60 is actually only 8 cm shorter than the larger GV70. In addition, the GV60 has the longest wheel, and the wheels are mounted near the corners with very short overhangs. This GV60 sits on 20 and 21 inch wheels, which is probably India’s best of compact design, and anything smaller than 20 inches is unlikely to be delivered in the United States.
The starting GV60 is 4.52 meters high. It is 1.89 meters wide and 1.58 meters high. The stem weighs 432 liters and the bottom of the cap is frunk. That frunk is only 20 liters in four-wheel drive versions, which is still more than enough for a charging cable. Some species have a 53-liter frunk.
Three types of car
According to a recent announcement, the GV60 will be available in three versions (car) at launch. Premium has a rear wheel drive with a power of 168 kW. The Sport has an electric motor of 160kW at the back, the front axle is driven by a 74kW motor. It is also a Sport Premium four-wheel drive, but has an 160 kW electric motor on both axles. In addition, Sport Premium has a unique Slide Route. Fans will also appreciate the Power Boost Mode, which gives Sport Premium an additional 20kW + 20kW for 10 seconds.
More than 500 km away
With a 77.4 kWh battery pack, the estimated WLTP frequencies are 517 km. A standard AC charger with 11 kW, a fast DC charger reaches a charging speed of up to 350 kW thanks to the 800-volt system. This allows the battery pack to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. The Genesis GV60 (such as the Kia and Hyundai) will also have a V2L feature that will also allow it to function as a source of mobile energy for other electronics or cars. Unlike Hyundai and Kia models, the Genesis GV60 will also be suitable for wireless (inductive) charging.
The Interior GV60 interior is said to offer plenty of space, comfort and luxury. In addition, a similar charging car also has fewer digital functions and a supply connection. It has a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a wireless charging dock for smart phones. Typically, the GV60 software offers the option of “offline” (OTA) software updates and various modern driver support systems. But the new GV60 is also distinguished by a number of unique features, including face recognition features on doors and a special infotainment system control rod on the center console.
