Munich/Berlin. From April 26 to 28, Gallery Weekend Berlin presents its 20th edition – spread over 69 locations and works by more than 100 international artists. The 55 participating galleries reflect the diversity and quality of Berlin’s gallery scene with high quality exhibitions by young and talented artists. BMW Group Cultural Partnership has been supporting Gallery Weekend Berlin as its main partner since 2013. Together with Gallery Weekend Berlin, BMW is developing the “Studio Visit” video series this year and visiting Berlin artists in their studios.

As part of a series founded together, artists working in Berlin open the doors of their studios. Give me this year Julius von Bismarck and Trisha Baga Insights into his daily artistic life and supporting the ever-growing series portfolio. A “Studio Tour” has already been organized by Aziz Hazara, Anne Duk Hee Jordan, Sophie Reinhold, Josefine Reisch and Farkhondeh Shahroudi, who are also represented by galleries participating in Gallery Weekend. What began as a private initiative by a small group of Berlin gallery owners in 2005 is now a unique network of 55 galleries that invite you to take a collective tour every spring. As visitors arrive from around the world, they can continue to expect to see exciting, diverse and first-class performances by established and emerging artists.”

The Berlin Gallery Weekend offers visitors the opportunity to discover new names or add to existing passions. Exhibitions organized by participating galleries for Gallery Weekend will be open at all participating galleries on Friday, April 26, from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. All Berlin residents and international visitors are also invited to visit the galleries on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 (Saturday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Sunday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm).
