With the new generation of the model, BMW is lighting up the luxury class.
After the photos were leaked to the Internet, BMW has now officially released the new version of 7 Series. The seventh generation of luxury sedan is scheduled to enter the Swiss market in November – initially as the i7 version uses only electricity. Two versions of the plug-in and the diesel variant will follow later.
The design of the new 7 Series gave a lot to talk about earlier, as has all the new BMW models in recent days. The ever-expanding kidney grille with the sharp interaction of convex and convex forms was not well received by the community on social media. But now that the pictures of series 7 have been published, a completely different description provides the discussion material: for the first time, series 7 has two-dimensional lights.
Personal movie back
Another novel is that Series 7 is available in only one length, and is similar worldwide. The shorter version is no longer available, from now on the sedan is only available in XXL. The dimensions have increased to a height of 130 mm, a width of 48 mm and a height of 51 millimeters, the height is now 5.39 meters. The wheelchair has increased by five millimeters to 3.22 meters compared to the previous version of the long wheel, which is undoubtedly reflected in the large amount of space available in the interior.
It is clear that the new generation of elegant sedan style has the most exciting features and the latest technology. The attractions in the new Series 7 are the automatic and open doors, the illuminated frame of the kidney grille and the theater screen. which can be released off the roof »for a private back movie, with a 31.3-inch touch screen as a panorama display in 8K view.
But the biggest novel in Series 7 is an electric car. The I7 xDrive60 combines two electric motors with a system output of 400 kW / 544 hp to create an electric wheel drive. The elegant sedan accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km / h. A battery with a usable capacity of 101.7 kWh should enable a maximum of up to 625 km, charging at a maximum of 195 kW, which means that electricity for 170 km more can be touched for ten minutes at a fast charging station. . Over the next year, the i7 M70 xDrive, a performance variant with predicted output of 485 kW / 660 hp, will be launched.
Two versions of the 750e xDrive and 760e xDrive plug-ins will be available in early 2023, both combining a 3-liter petrol engine directly with an electric engine and delivering 360 kW / 490 hp and 420 kW / 571 hp respectively. Both alternatives must reach a power line of more than 80 km. The 740d xDrive with 3 liters of six-cylinder diesel (220 kW / 300 hp), which is expected to be available from spring 2023, rotates frequently. Prices for the new 7 Series and i7 have not yet been announced.
