It is raining or pouring almost all the time in the final. The situation is not good for both players with 3 degrees in the central field Thomas Müller (34) is also shaking. He cheered on Struff’s box and proceeded to show Becker’s punch!

Müller saw off Fritz, who is more accustomed to the sun in his native California, earning three points in the first set at 5:4, all of which the German No. 2 defends. This bothers the American star so much in his first clay court final that he doesn’t hit the ball again and Struff wins the round 7:5.

In fact, Struff also swears by warm weather. “He needs to play fast and in these situations the balls become slow and he cannot use his strength,” said national coach Michael Kohlmann (50) before the tournament.

Think! Struff made it to the finals and now takes the title. A brand new quality that he let shine. After 79 minutes he converted his first match point. He takes a BMW and 88,125 euros as prize money. Fritz still has to wait for his first clay court title.

“I’m very happy for you, you played a great week,” Fritz said at the awards ceremony. Struff doesn’t say a single sentence in the title track. On Saturday he swept defending champion Holger Rune (20) 6:2, 6:0 in the semi-finals.

Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (57/CSU) with the intention of the winner and the improvement of the tournament to the 500 category from 2025: “Munich should be the capital of tennis.”
