In the first three months of this year, the registration of new motorcycles and scooters in Belgium increased by 5.89% compared to the same period in 2023 to 6,691 units. Honda leads the rankings with a share of 16.8%. This is evident from the statistics published by FEBIAC, the Belgian and Luxembourg Automobile Federation and the Two-Wheeler Federation.

Honda is the only brand with more than 1,000 new motorcycles and scooters registered in the first three months. Compared to the first three months of last year, Honda recorded a slight increase of 1.3%. BMW ranks second with 970 units. That’s 11% less than in 2023. BMW now has a 14.5% share. Yamaha, Kawasaki and Triumph, numbers three to five, are making great progress. Yamaha achieved a significant increase of 37.4% on a market share of 12.3%. For Kawasaki, FEBIAC recorded a 25% increase, good for a share of 8.9%. New registrations for Triumph motorcycles increased by 22%, bringing the British brand to a 4.9% share. A notable newcomer to the top ten is Silence, a brand that sells electric motorcycles. Last year only 9 were registered in the first three months, this year already 178 in that period.

By the way, March was a very good month. New registrations only increased by 2.9%. A rain spring may be one of the reasons for this.
