This will be the new BMW X3… and it will no longer be available as an electric iX3

These days, if you say ‘SUV’, you can almost say ‘electric’ in the same breath. However, that doesn’t mean the combustion engine has stopped working on top-of-the-line products, just look at them all. Audi’s Q5 in Mercedes GLC you see in our local area. BMW also has an alternative to those two under the name

The X3 is blazing, Neue Klasse

BMW has shared a few images of the new X3 during its pre-production testing. Although its bodywork is still shrouded in camouflage, we see enough to understand that this is not a simple facelift but a completely new generation. For example, the fastening seams indicate that the hat is now … iX-on the side wings instead of between them and talking about that electric member: the rest of the body also takes a smoother shape. This translates into improved aerodynamics because according to BMW, the new X3 has a drag coefficient of 0.27. In comparison, it leaves the Mercedes GLC behind by 0.29 and is just as smooth brother in the room.

Still at BMW they are only talking about the launch with combustion engines of a small hybrid and a plug-in hybrid car, and therefore one important model is missing from the range: the lightning iX3. This does not seem to continue in the fourth generation of the X3, but before moving on to the competition: that does not mean that BMW will no longer offer an electric SUV in the D segment. In addition to this X3 with combustion engines, they are planning a separate, electric SUV to succeed the iX3 . We have already had a taste of this in the form of New X Class and should come to the market in the course of the next year. On the other hand, we will see this X3 flash this year.
