Cadillac is preparing to join the big family of electric car manufacturers. Steve Carlisle, president of General Motors, announces the delivery of Cadillac’s first 100% electric SUV. See you in April 2020.

, the electric car market is exploding, with SUVs leading the way. Not a little was needed to inspire Cadillac, the American brand of the General Motors group. At a meeting in Las Vegas, its CEO Steve Carlisle announced the official presentation of Cadillac’s first 100% electric SUV.

The first step in the new strategy of the manufacturer that aims development of 20 electric models by 2023. The brand is even planning a catalog that includes electric cars by 2030, gradually phasing out gasoline engines. In an interview with AutoNews, Steve Carlisle said on this topic:

Our brand enters this decade offering cars with only combustion engines. We want to ultimately position ourselves as an electrified brand. To get there, we will first have to manage these two worlds at the same time.

Cadillac: the first electric model without a name

General Motors will benefit from the show Auto Show in New York (from April 10 to 19, 2020) to officially present its first 100% electric SUV, which has already been briefly seen at the Detroit auto show in January 2019 with impressive illustrations.
