The Japanese house presents “Time”, an installation consisting of two works that show all the power of the brand’s vision.

For the 15th consecutive year, the luxury brand of the Toyota group is at one of the most important events in the world dedicated to design. “Time” is the name of the installation on display from the Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst (LF-ZC), an example that testifies to the brand’s desire to increase the power provided by electricity and innovation, creating new forms. of mobility.

The installation, consisting of two works that show all the power of the brand’s vision, will be open to the public from 16 to 21 April, in the Art Section and the Art Garden of Superstudio Più in the area of ​​Tortona, the most famous Milanese district. by design.

The works on display are “Beyond the Horizon” by Hideki Yoshimoto/Tangent, an installation inspired by the LF-ZC concept car, and “8 minutes and 20 seconds” by Dutch solar architect Marjan van Aubel, where the classic theme of time shows . progress achieved by Lexus in the design and manufacture of “human-centered” vehicles. With this work, the artist shows Lexus’ commitment to mobility innovation, taking on the challenges of electrification and technology, aiming for carbon neutrality and high quality.

The solar painting, thanks to four movement sensors, comes alive in front of the surrounding viewers, allowing it to be explored from different perspectives.

Yoshimoto’s work, on the other hand, combines cutting-edge technology with ancient Japanese craftsmanship to create an immersive space that features a line of two-meter tall sculptures that create unique plays of light to give the illusion of entering space. different. The installation consists of a large projection screen whose material is inspired by the heritage of the ancient Echizen “washi” paper, which in this case was made from bamboo fibers.
