The DS 7 Crossback is a luxury SUV from DS Automobiles. We’ve had it in the editorial office for several months and it’s one of our favorite cars. It has a 1.6 PureTech engine with 180 hp. Mileage is slowly approaching 50 thousand kilometers. What does the actual fuel consumption look like when driving economically, measured by the distributor?

The car was filled with oil, we drove 533 km and filled it with oil. PB95 oil. Our DS 7 Crossback is equipped Michelin Crossclimate 2 all-season tires. They are very quiet and smooth, pleasant for comfortable movements.

We decided to check it at a distance of more than 500 km, of which 350 km on the highway (driving at a speed of up to 120 km / h), the remaining distance in the city. The computer showed an average speed of 79 km / h. How to drive? No sudden acceleration, always within the speed limits according to the signs. Not too slow, but also without any movements. The computer showed fuel consumption at 5.9 liters. From the measurement at the dispenser, with a distance of 530 km, 29.96 liters of fuel were burned. So the actual fuel consumption is 5.65 liters per 100 km, slightly less than the computer shows. The cost of driving 100 kilometers in such a system is less than PLN 38. For a large SUV with an automatic transmission, a good result.
