Let’s say you’re building a very fast electric car, but it’s not the fastest on the planet. Of course you can build a faster car to break the speed record. But you can also try to see if you are the one who bounces back the fastest. That’s what Rimac engineers did.
The car that broke the record is the Rimac Nevera. The insane hypercar has four electric motors driving the wheels through its transmission. Total power is 1914 hp and 2360 Nm of torque.
Rimac Nevera is also moving fast
Moving on, the Rimac Nevera is already very fast. You run from 0 to 300 km/h in about 8 seconds.

After ten seconds the top speed of 412 km is already on the counter. However, that is not enough for a speed record.
Record speed back
The electric hypercar is also very fast in reverse. In fact, he’s breaking the record for fastest rebound. On the German test track, the Rimac Nevera drove backwards at 275.74 km/h.
The CEO, Mate Rimac, says that during the development of the car, they thought that the car would break the speed record in reverse. However, at that time there was no plan to do this. Simply because the car is not designed to go backwards at that speed. “We didn’t know how strong the car would be,” says Rimac.
Rimac Nevera Price
If you also want to be able to go back really fast on the test track, you need a Rimac Nevera – or an old DAF. You pay two million euros excluding taxes for a Croatian hypercar. A lot of money, but definitely not a usable product, as you can see in the video below that Autovisie editor Dries van den Elzen takes you to Nevera.
