Electric car for less than PLN 77,000. PLN, but without air conditioning

Dacia has published the price list for the new Spring model and, as expected, it is the cheapest electric model available on the market. The basic version will cost PLN 76,900, which after removing the surcharge can reduce the price even below PLN 50,000. zlotys.

If you are looking for an affordable means of transportation, Dacia may have an interesting proposition for you. Today, the price list of the cheapest electric car on the market has finally been published. Orders for the Spring model can be placed starting today, and the first units will be delivered to consumers in Poland in September. The basic model of Muhimu with a 45 HP engine will cost PLN 76,900, which, after removing the surcharge for the purchase of an electric car, means a price below PLN 60,000 or even PLN 50,000. Unfortunately, in the case of this model, you have to consider not only the average performance (20 seconds to 100 km / h) but also, for example, the lack of weather.

Manual air conditioning appears in the Expression version, which also has a more powerful engine with a power of 65 HP and accelerates to 100 km / h in 14 seconds. However, you have to pay PLN 86,000 for this model. zlotys. The top variant, equipped with, among other things, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, costs PLN 90,600. There will also be a Cargo version available for two people, with a cargo space of over 1,000 litres. All versions have the same set of batteries with a capacity of 26.8 kWh, which will allow you to reach about 225 km and can accelerate up to 125 km / h (110 km / h in the Cargo version). The battery can be charged with alternating current with a maximum power of 7 kW or with direct current with a power of 30 kW. Therefore, the charging time is at least 45 minutes.

It’s hard to comment on build quality at the moment, but the new Dacia Spring is definitely more digital. Even in the basic version, in front of the driver there will be a 7-inch screen that displays basic information about our journey. The screen on the center console shown below is available in the top version and in the Expression version for an additional PLN 3,600 (including a reversing camera). In addition, it has built-in navigation with European maps with real-time traffic information (8-year subscription) and support for Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The car will be available in 6 colors and is designed according to Dacia’s new fashion line.

From a practical point of view, it is probably worth mentioning that under the front hood there is a small storage room, suitable for charging cables, and the rear trunk can hold more than 300 liters. The Dacia Spring also gets many new features. driving assistance systems to meet the latest safety standards: active brake assist system (urban/suburban conditions and detection of cars, pedestrians, cyclists and motorbikes), high-speed road sign recognition system of high pressure warning, rear parking assist, emergency stop warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistant, driver alert monitoring system and emergency call (eCall). The top version will also have V2L support, that is, the ability to draw power from the car’s battery to power other devices.
