After years of success in IDM Supersport and the fate of March 2024, the driver from Thuringia wants to return to the racing arena. Start again in IDM Superbike 2025.
“The next season of 2025 is approaching,” explains Christoph Beinlich on the website of the Beinlich Racing Team. “My team and I have made the decision to compete in IDM Superbike next season. For us, this means a new beginning with many goals and a new job.
He probably didn’t make this decision lightly. For years, everything in the Beinlich family revolved around racing. With great personal dedication we were part of IDM Supersport 300 and IDM Supersport. But the name Beinlich will always be associated with March 30, 2024. At that time, Troy Beinlich had an accident at the Hockenheimring during the German Endurance Cup and died from his injuries shortly after. A heavy blow to Troy Beinlich’s family, friends and fans.
Now Christoph Beinlich, who abstained from any racing activities in 2024, would like to return to IDM. Featuring a BMW M1000RR. “Here we were able to buy a modified IDM bike from GERT56, which we have to have technical equipment at the best level,” says Chris Beinlich, explaining his plans. “But what is most important for us is the cooperation agreed with the GERT56 technicians when it comes to fixing the bike and especially with Ronny Schlieder from RS Speedbikes and his staff.”
“The announcement that we will focus more on customer racing at BMW Motorrad is already paying off,” he explains. «Bicycles and electronics were discussed in detail during the handover, the engine break mechanism will be developed and technical training is also on the list of things to do. The profession in handling data and information is interesting. Among other things, we receive our server and personal space within the GERT56 data structure, which facilitates remote support and ensures security and access at all times.”
“Last but not least, I am looking forward to the joint tests with RS Speedbikes and GERT56,” he adds, “and I think I can learn a lot from my friends Toni Finsterbusch and Jan-Ole Jähnig and I will definitely benefit from their experience.
to be We look forward to working with Gert56 and are grateful for this opportunity.”
