Chrysler to launch an electric concept on February 13 | Car news

Stellantis, the parent company that houses, among others, the Chrysler company, announced that its almost century-old division (founded in 1925) will unveil a concept that could be the brand’s first electric model.

The study, which will be unveiled on February 13, will be based on the Airflow prototype that we have seen at a few car shows a year and so on. Delivered in 2022.

To whet our appetite, Stellantis has posted a photo showing us part of the model. The latter is ambiguous, but hides a message that Internet users were quick to interpret.

The manufacturer has not released any important details about its car, except that it will be a “new innovative concept”. Two more images will be revealed in the coming days that promise to give a better glimpse of what awaits us next week… and the electronic future of the brand.

As for the little secret hidden in the photo shared this week, we can see the word Halcyon, reversed and arranged horizontally. You should know that this name was reserved by Stellantis at the end of last year.

We can assume that this will be a fancy name. As for the name of the possible production version, if it sees the light of day, we will see if Halcyon is saved.

As for what the picture represents, your imagination is as good as ours. The view appears to be a model seen from above, but it is clearly a drawing. We’ll have to wait before we know more.

What we do know is that Chrysler is planning its next model for 2025, as already confirmed by Christine Feuell, CEO of Chrysler. An example should be a compact SUV, like the Airflow concept.

And since we’re aiming for 2025, we can expect to see the concept near production next week, with the delivery of a road-ready version by the end of the year.

One thing is for sure, things have to change at Chrysler. Otherwise, we will soon talk about brands in the past tense. With the departure of the Chrysler 300, only minivans remained in the lineup.
