Chrysler Halcyon, here’s a new concept on the big STLA platform

Chrysler Halcyon is an electric concept which the American car manufacturer intends to expect some of the solutions that we will see on board of its future models, starting with the electric ones that will start in 2025. Compared to the Airflow concept of 2022 that looked like a car almost ready for production, new. the concept is a completely different car, more aggressive and designed to showcase the latest technologies developed by the Stellantis Group.

Aerodynamics are an integral part of the Halcyon’s exterior design. We find, for example, a large passage in front where the air is directed through the grille and over the bonnet. The car is based on Stellantis Group’s large STLA platform, the same one that will be used, for example, on the Jeep Wagoneer S and on the new generations of Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. A platform that supports 800V architecture that allows for high power charging.

Nothing was said about the power train. So there is no accurate information about the engine, performance and autonomy. We only know that the battery is lithium-sulphur. After all, the concept is designed to show exactly new technology which customers will be able to use in the future.

The Chrysler Halcyon concept integrates technology STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit and STLA AutoDrive to improve the in-flight passenger experience. In particular, the concept uses a lotartificial intelligence. For example, a virtual assistant reminds the driver of daily tasks in the morning.

The concept may depend on the work Mind Cabin Comfort which analyzes the weather to adapt to the operation of the air conditioner. We also have predictive navigation. The system compares with the driver’s calendar to prepare the vehicle for possible routes to be taken.

Thanks to Face recognition the driver can unlock and start the car. Using STLA AutoDrive technology, the model features Level 4 autonomous driving. The steering wheel and pedals retract and the glass roof and windshield can be opened for privacy. Occupants can also watch movies and play games on the go.

For the interior, the automaker used durable materials. In the middle, we find a large 15.6-inch vertical display that can be rotated horizontally. There is also a Head-up Display and augmented reality. Obviously there are OTA updates. As in most concepts, the rear doors open into the breezeway to facilitate access for the occupants.

The Chrysler Halcyon concept also features technology Wireless Power Transfer (DWPT) that allows you to charge the car wirelessly while traveling.
