The new Citroen C3 2024 debuts in a combustion version. It is cheaper than its predecessor

This is one of the few cases where a new car is cheaper than its predecessor – and clearly so. However, Citroen C3 2024 has changed its character. It is a more budget car, aimed at young and less demanding customers. Although the French brand puts a lot of emphasis on electrification, the combustion version also starts under the hood. However, we only have one engine to choose from two versions, although in Poland the choice is limited at the moment.

The new Citroen C3 combustion engine has 100 HP. It costs more than PLN 70,000

But let’s start with what it offers under the hood. Here we find the 1.2 engine from the PureTech family. The base version produces 100 HP and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The second option is a mild hybrid variant with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Therefore, an interesting alternative to the electrical difference has appeared. The price also seems tempting – especially since it is lower than in the case of the “big” C3.

At the moment, the Polish version only includes a version with a manual gearbox, without a limited hybrid system. This one may join the ranks a little later.

So we have a lot of options, because the C3 Origin model is still available

We are talking about the previous generation, which now has a new name. This model costs PLN 75,200 and is equipped with various equipment. In the case of higher versions, it is cheaper than the new generation. It is also worth knowing that there are many differences between these cars.

First of all, the new Citroen C3 is big, although it doesn’t really look like it. It also has a different interior and is based on a new connection solution. Second – in the C3 Original we will also find a weak version of the 1.2 (as expected in the original, producing 82 HP) and the old variant of this turbo engine, producing 110 HP.
