Vintage cars and young people have more and more followers. Proof of the great French interest in these models: the number of television programs devoted to their restoration. In 7e section 14e season of Wheeler Dealers France, announced at RMC Découverte on May 29, Gerry Blyenberg and Aurélien Letheux tackled the restoration of a rare Citroën Visa II Chrono. This article, released in 1982, was not found on the site for advertisements from the individual. The car comes from the archives of the Reims car museum. So it is a question for the two companions to respect the order to preserve a piece of French automotive heritage.

This Visa II Chrono, sold in 3,810 units, has benefited from an extensive restoration. The car has been completely stripped down to give it a second life. The engine has been completely renewed (replacement of pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft bearings, etc.), some parts of the bodywork – corroded by rust – have been replaced. The bomb has benefited from a full paint job. The interior has not been spared with the replacement of many parts including the seats. Ultimately, the restoration required 47 hours of work. The teams paid around €7,800, or half the cost of a very nice car on the second-hand market.
