Citroen will launch an electric version of the compact, but for the Asian market

The new generation Citroen C3 arrived last year and brought the French brand back into the market fight. The cart was jointly developed by teams of engineers from France, Brazil and India.

And there, he will win the full electric version. Named ë-C3, the electrified compact will be sold in the Indian market.

Currently, the Citroën ë-C3 is exclusive to the Indian market. The model was an interesting competitor to place Stellantis on the basis of the electric field

The development of the version did not require major structural intervention. The C3 was already developed on the CMP platform, created by the former PSA (Peugeot, Citroën and Opel). This base is the same one used in the Peugeot 208 and was designed to support hybrid, thermal (combustion engine) and all-electric propulsion systems.

So, the electric C3 had an engine of 57 hp and 14.5 kgfm of torque. The brand advertises that its batteries guarantee 320 kilometers of autonomy. The cells were placed under the floor, as is common in all electric vehicles. According to Citroën, in the fast payment stage it is possible to recover up to 80% of the payment in just 57 minutes.

Currently, the Citroën ë-C3 is exclusive to the Indian market. The model was an interesting competitor to place Stellantis on the basis of the electric field.

Today, the group has Fiat 500e, Peugeot e-208 and e-2008. All at a price of R $ 200 thousand. On the other hand, Renault, Caoa Chery and JAC are fighting at the bottom of the market with the Kwid E-Tech, iCar and E-JS1 models.
