The iconic GranTurismo (combined fuel consumption: 10.2 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 230 g/km) is now also available as a Spyder, as Maserati presents the GranCabrio (exact fuel consumption and emissions figures are still being compiled). The brand’s latest innovations combine high-end comfort and style with the thrill of open-top driving. At market launch, the GranCabrio is available in the Trofeo equipment variant and is equipped with a Nettuno V6 engine. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine produces 404 kW (550 hp) and reaches a maximum torque of 650 Newton meters. Driving the car is not only impressive with its sports performance, but also with unrestricted long-distance comfort. The new convertible will be produced entirely in Italy.

The roof is made of fabric and takes up as little space as possible as it folds automatically behind the seats at the touch of a button. This process takes only 14 seconds and can even be done at a speed of up to 50 km/h. There is room for four people in the interior, which further emphasizes the character of the GranCabrio as a touring car.

The special elegance of the GranCabrio can be seen more clearly when the top is open and the sound of the engine surrounds everything. The connection between road and landscape is an unparalleled experience that only a Spyder can offer – a feeling that has been a Maserati tradition for more than 60 years and is part of a success story: Maserati’s first Spyder, a convertible version of the 3500 GT. Presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1959.

Love of design and passion for unique details are complemented by functionality and, above all, by modern technology. This is reflected in the modern infotainment system and numerous driver assistance services that enhance safety and comfort on board. In terms of style, the interior exhibits an excellent balance between aesthetic appeal and simple functionality.

The driving experience in the GranCabrio is further enhanced by the incredible thermal and acoustic comfort of the fabric top. It is available in five colors and can be operated via a touch button on the central display. The GranCabrio also has a neck warmer as standard. This warms the necks of the driver and front passenger at three different power levels. Optional extras include a wind block. It can be used when there is a maximum of two passengers on board and it can be folded manually. When the top is open, the wind block reduces the formation of turbulence in the passenger compartment.

Developed in parallel with the GranTurismo, the new GranCabrio is the result of a meeting between impeccable efficiency and the natural beauty of cars – a car with classic proportions, typical of models from Modena. The luxurious interior reflects the special craftsmanship of Maserati and emphasizes the classic “opposite balance” and bold luxury, always modern.
