Cowboys soar past Eastern Washington, advance to NIT quarterfinals

The Cowboys of Oklahoma State surged past the Eastern Washington Eagles to reach the quarterfinals of the National Invitational Tournament (NIT).

In a matchup that was no less than grueling, OSU demonstrated an edge over their opponents, emerging victorious in the hard-fought game.

The Cowboys put their ability to perform under pressure on full display, outscoring the Eagles 41-30 in the second half.

Their campaign was propelled by the remarkable performance of their star guard Thomas Dziagwa, who scored 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting from beyond the arc.

The Cowboys’ strength in the paint was also a contributing factor to their success, with Yor Anei and Cameron McGriff combining for 22 points.

The Eagles’ efforts to keep pace with the Cowboys were to no avail, as OSU’s defense refused to relent.

The Cowboys’ tenacity and skill eventually paid off, as they advanced to the NIT quarterfinals with a 66-57 victory over Eastern Washington.

With this win, Oklahoma State have cemented their place in the tournament, and will now look to continue their impressive streak.
