Kaban apparently failed to impress VW brand CEO Thomas Schäfer and the board of directors with his work on the ID.2 city car. It appears to have been shelved by Volkswagen management in 2023 on behalf of Andreas Mindt (ex-Bentley). So the 51-year-old is retaliating by moving to MG, a booming brand that should give him greater scope for expression.
