The Hyundai Ioniq 5 gets a bigger battery, more electric range and better connectivity

Hyundai has given the Ioniq 5 a smart facelift on the outside and inside, such as a sleeker V-shaped grille and redesigned front and rear bumpers. The rear spoiler grows by 5 centimeters and the aluminum wheels get a new design. The new Ioniq 5 has increased in length by 2 centimeters to 4.65 meters. In the interior of the new model, there is now a physical button on the center console at the top of the multifunction unit for frequently used functions such as front seat heating and ventilation, heated steering wheel and parking assistance. iPhone or Android mobile phones can be placed on top of the new 5 Series and charged wirelessly.

With the facelift, the Ioniq 5 also receives a new steering wheel with illuminated LED pixels like the sister model Ioniq 6. The infotainment and climate controls have also been redesigned in the new Ioniq 5 model. There is also the current generation of “Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC)”, which allows smartphones to be connected wirelessly via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety and comfort features include the improved parking assistant and remote control 2.0 with front, side and rear parking assist and emergency stop function.
