The Spaniards are introducing a new sales model for their electric cars. Cupra Born comes first. What exactly is it about?
Cupra: changing the role of actors
In the agency model, the role of entities directly involved in sales changes. In the current, standard process, the dealer buys a car from Volkswagen Group Polska and sells it to the acquired customer on his own behalf.
In the agency model, the dealer will be an agent who will also be responsible for finding and serving the customer, but the car sales process will be done by Volkswagen Group Polska. Therefore, the role of Cupra brand partners will change.
Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS), the partner responsible for financing the purchase and use of vehicles for customers of VGP brands, is also prepared to work in the new sales model, reports the portal. elektromobilni.pl.
For the customer, the biggest difference will be that the car will be sold by Volkswagen Group Polska, i.e. the car sales contract will be concluded by VGP, and the car invoice will be issued by VGP. The VGP will also be responsible for the marketing of the product.
Cupra: more clarity
According to Daria Zielaskiewicz, director of the Seat and Cupra brands, the automotive industry is changing a lot and the needs of retail and fleet customers are different from 10 years ago. “We want to ensure greater transparency of car prices offered to our customers, as well as provide a smooth customer journey in both offline and online channels,” emphasizes Zielaskiewicz.
The native will lead the way
The first car sold in the new model by the Volkswagen Group in Poland is the electric Cupra Born. Finally, the agency model will be used for all electric vehicles under the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, Skoda brands, as well as all Cupra models.
In June 2022, the Volkswagen Group successfully implemented an agency model for the company’s customers, the so-called fleet sales agency model includes all models of Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Skoda, Seat and Audi.
