Cupra was born in the VZ version. What is its function?

The VZ is a new version of the CUPRA Born, whose power is 240 kW and 545 Nm of torque. It accelerates to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.

The Spanish brand’s first fully electric model features a new, more powerful version of the VZ. The car produces 240 kW of power (40% more than in the version with e-Boost) and 545 Nm of torque. Thanks to this, the car can reach a speed of 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds (one second faster than e-Boost). The maximum speed of the car has also increased to 200 km / h – 40 km / h more than in the version with eBoost.

Designers took care of the car’s dynamics thanks to the optimized geometry of the DCC sports suspension, responsive steering and excellent brake pressure sensitivity. The Borna VZ suspension is stiffer compared to the regular CUPRA Born versions.

The CUPRA Born VZ can travel up to 570 km on a single charge*. The battery provides 79 kWh of net capacity (+2 kWh). It can be charged at home using an 11 kW AC system or at a 170 kW DC fast charging station. In the case of the second option, charging Born VZ to 80% will take only 30 minutes.

The CUPRA Born VZ, like the Formentor VZ5 and Leon VZ Cup, has CUP Bucket sports seats. They are made of recycled SEAQUAL® YARN and DINAMICA fabric and offer a more dynamic driving position.

The latest version of Born is also equipped with gears and the ability to change gears in sequence using the paddles on the steering wheel, which allows the driver to choose between 3 different levels of energy recovery. Car owners can also choose a car with a sunroof.

Drivers who choose the latest version of the CUPRA Born VZ will have a choice of two special body colors created for the latest version of the model – Dark Forest and Midnight Black.

The car also has two sets of new 20-inch aluminum rims. The wider tires (8J20”) are designed to transfer the car’s power and torque to the rear axle. Key body features that distinguish the car from other models of the brand are the VZ logo on the trunk and the CUPRA lettering in dark chrome.

Among the new technological solutions used in the Born VZ, the engineers from Barcelona considered a 12.9-inch horizontal infotainment system (0.9 inches larger than the CUPRA Born model) and an optional 10-inch speaker system with a power of 425. watts, designed in collaboration with Senheiser.

CUPRA Born VZ will be available on the market in the third quarter of 2024. The manufacturer currently does not provide information on the availability of the car in Poland.
