Green NCAP tests which models are environmentally friendly. Now three models were examined by testers.

In its current environmental test, Green NCAP carried out extensive tests of a small car, a small car and a battery electric car.

The focus was on the categories of pollution emissions, energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions. A maximum of 10 points and a total of five stars is possible for each category.

Cupra Born with high marks

The battery-electric Cupra Born scored 5 stars with a total of 28.9 points. The 231 hp compact car topped the emissions category with 10 points. There were 9.3 points for emissions and 9.6 points for energy efficiency.

The Born is on the road with a 58 kWh battery with a range of up to 360 km based on the WLT usage cycle. The Cupra Born is considered the sister model of the VW ID.3.

Fiat 500 with a consumption of 5.2 liters

A small car Fiat 500 with an output of 71 hp scores 15.8 and is awarded three stars by Green NCAP. According to Green NCAP inspectors, better exhaust treatment and a diesel particulate filter can help boost scores. The gasoline consumption of the Italian bestseller is 5.2 liters per 100 kilometers.

The environmental agency gave it 2.5 stars Seat Ibiza (14.6 points). A small 110 hp car closed with a small particle emission. Inspectors see a need for improvements in energy efficiency, among other things. (with SP-X)
