At a time when we still have a lot of single-wheel drive hothatches, it is very interesting that Cupra has put its crossover with a 4×4 vehicle. Otherwise, there will be no chance to feel the 310 hp that flows happily from the TSI 2.0-liter engine.

Cupra Formentor VZ – sports mode is trying

The feeling of driving the Formentor is very tempting and leads to the activation of a bad game mode or Cupra mode, where the traction control is disabled, and the sound of the engine and the exhaust work are accidentally amplified by the sound from the speakers. As a consolation, however, I hasten to assure you – regardless of the artificially enhanced sounds, the intergas sounds very good and from time to time there will be a shot from the exhaust.

Cupra Formentor VZ – not sitting on the cross

The driving position is low, which I really like, but for crossover fans it can be a little strange, because it does not resemble in any way the traditional position behind the wheel of cars of this body type. The seats, albeit sporty, with headrests attached to the grommet, are covered in luxurious leather with brown inserts that perfectly harmonize with the brass elements of the interior.
The trunk volume is a pleasant surprise – 420 liters is an impressive result for a sports crossover.

If you remember the Seat of the 90s and its unrefined, square interior, then … Cupra did its homework on the 6 and with the bigger one. The interior of Formentor is sporty and elegant at the same time, it is pleasant but not boring, it is reduced but attractive and modern, with a great emphasis on details – as you can see, it is full of complexity, and at the same time. time is the whole amazing thing that you want to be. Yes, I haven’t had such a strong desire to be in a car in a long time and I haven’t felt as fully at home in any car as the Cupra Formentor. A small button is used to change gears, which is very convenient despite its small size and the hand quickly gets used to using it.

Cupra Formentor VZ – sharp shapes, hard ride

The Formentor’s body shape is quite sharp, but this gives the dynamics and modern, unusual line that will be remembered for a long time. The large exterior is enhanced by the blue-gray color, broken by the brass inserts placed on the aluminum rims, in the form of calipers for the Brembo sports brakes and the Cupra logo.

There is nothing to hide – we women pay attention to appearance, but also to the feelings that something brings to us. The Cupra Formentor made me smile so much that during the test I made excuses to just get in and go somewhere. It doesn’t matter where. It is important to immerse yourself in its interior, switch to Cupra mode with the steering wheel button and listen not to the radio, but to the sound from the exhaust (unfortunately also from the loudspeaker), drive if possible on a hilly road and be surprised every bit how much this car can forgive.
