I drove a Cupra Formentor VZ5 to Vienna. What was I complaining about? (HOT-VLOG)

It’s often the case with sports cars that most of their horsepower sloshes under the hood because they’re hard to use on public roads. Usually, after pressing the accelerator pedal more strongly, a few seconds are enough to approach the speed limit, and on roads and expressways we drive at a constant speed. So I guess sports cars are useless? Not at all.

I have several reasons for this, but I don’t think I need to convince anyone. The group of sports car fans is still large, and someone who has never understood is likely to change their mind. However, I agree that sports cars are quite expensive and useless that are best kept in the garage for special occasions. That’s why I like cars that, despite their sporty nature, are functional and useful enough to be the only car in the garage. Is this what the Cupra Formentor is?

You only have to look at the road to see that the Formentor is a car that has been well received by Polish drivers. It looks good, stands out from other high-priced cars, and offers good price-to-value ratio. Currently, the catalog includes 9 different storage versions, and the prices start PLN 139,000 for version and engine 1.5 TSI by force 150 km and front wheel drive.

Cupra Formentor VZ5 has five cylinders and 390 HP

The 2.5-liter petrol engine, which can also be found in the Audi RS3, is a big unit that makes the Formentor a very fast car. It works with 4Drive all-wheel drive, which can send a lot of torque to the rear wheels. There’s even a Drift mode here, which proves that Formentor can also be fun on the track. It takes a sprint up to 100 km/h 4.2 seconds, which is an impressive result for an SUV. Formentor is also not bad in terms of fuel consumption. On the way I managed to go down 10 l/100 kmand the average consumption for a distance of more than 1,500 km was 10.3 l/100 km.

VZ5 it’s a limited edition of 7,000 pieces, so you won’t find it again in the developer, but for now several new pieces are still available on the manufacturer’s website. Here we can proceed with the price, which may surprise you. The cheapest copy was sold for over PLN 354,000, and the most expensive for over PLN 370,000. The higher price than in the 2.0 TSI engine version with 310 HP is due, among others, to the very high tax on cars with an engine capacity of more than 2 liters.
