Cupra UrbanRebel is changing its name to Raval: it will arrive in 2025

At the Barcelona International Motor Show, Cupra presented for the first time to the public the Tavascan and DarkRebel that they had previewed, but it surprised everyone. to announce the Raval, i.e. the production version of the UrbanRebel conceptborn with the goal of being the brand’s entry-level model.

At the moment we have to stay only with the name, because the technical data is not yet known, but the shape of the Raval will not be very different from the model that comes out, and once again. its denomination is based on the geography of Spain: Raval is actually one of the most amazing districts of Barcelona, ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​and the car will embody its spirit according to what the brand announced.

In this regard, Wayne Griffiths, president of Kiti and Cupra, said: “Cupra Raval is not just a car. It is an invitation to a new generation that expects something better. A rebel and 100% electric car, with its own character and connected to ‘Gen Z’. Something more emotional“.

Cupra then noted that production will take place at the main factory in Martorellwhere the company will invest 3 billion euros to integrate the production lines of internal combustion models with dedicated ones. new electric models that will arrive from 2025 and which will be based on VW Group’s MEB Sub-platform.
