Acura Canada today announced a significant update to the 2025 MDX. This update to the luxury mid-size SUV primarily includes cosmetic and interior enhancements, as well as technological revisions including a new 12.3-inch interface that integrates Google.

We also remember the cabin that Acura promises to be quieter, improved safety and a luxurious Bang & Olufsen sound system for the highest design.

The 2025 MDX Type S Ultra also integrates the AcuraWatch 360 system, which offers the most advanced driver assistance technology thanks to additional radars, a high-definition front camera and a new millimeter wave radar up front.

All MDX models benefit from this AcuraWatch package update for increased safety features.

2025 Acura MDX – what’s new?

External design : The front of the MDX has been redesigned to use a frameless pentagonal grille, with a sharper diamond grille, darkened headlights and taillights, and new wheel designs that enhance its appearance.

A technology-enhanced cabin : The interior sees significant updates, including the introduction of a new 12.3-inch touchscreen interface and Google connectivity. Unfortunately, we’ve removed the touchpad from the bottom of the console, which will please many users who are disappointed with this system that is not suitable for life on the road, let’s put it that way.

Excellent sound performance : The audio experience is enhanced on all models, with the MDX Type S Ultra featuring the most powerful audio system Acura has ever offered, powered by Bang & Olufsen with 31 speakers.

Increased security : MDX Type S Ultra introduces the AcuraWatch 360 system, which marks a change in driver assistance with a new radar and high-definition front camera.

A new difference : The range welcomes the MDX Platinum Elite A-SPEC model which combines sporty style with the best equipment. This includes 16-way front seats, head-up display, surround view cameras, enhanced insulation, and leather-trimmed front seats.

Finally, two new paint colors will be available for the first time on the MDX, namely Canyon River Blue Metallic and Urban Gray Pearl, which was introduced for the 2024 TLX.

2025 Acura MDX S-Type – what’s new?

The MDX S model retains the turbo V6 engine (355 horsepower, 354 lb-ft of torque) along with 21-inch Berlina Black wheels. The S-Type is also unique with its unique rear diffuser, large quad exhausts and Brembo 4-piston front brake calipers.

The S Ultra model introduces an audio system with 31 luxury Bang & Olufsen speakers. Also included is AcuraWatch 360, an advanced suite of driver assistance technology that uses radar and cameras to make driving safer and more comfortable.

The 2025 MDX and 2025 MDX Type S sport utility vehicles will begin arriving at Acura dealerships in Canada in early June. We should know the prices of every model in the range by then.
