De la Rosa and the “spectacular equality” between Mercedes, Ferrari and Aston Martin
In DAZN F1, Pedro de la Rosa made a quick reflection on the “spectacular equality” that we find between Mercedes, Ferrari and Aston Martin in these early stages of the Formula 1 World Championship.
After what happened at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the DAZN commentator understands that you have to be very attentive to what happens outside of Red Bull.
“Let’s forget about Red Bull. There is a spectacular equality between Mercedes, Ferrari and Aston Martin. In the end, Fernando Alonso has finished in the DRS area of Leclerc. Carlos has fought with Hamilton until the end. Few things have happened, so it could have happened, but it must be said that there is a bestial equality”.
“You have to focus on the three chasing Red Bull. And Aston Martin has been one of them. We got a lot of points today between Fernando Alonso’s fourth and Lance Stroll’s seventh“.
Mike Krack: “We think that in Miami we will do better than in Baku”
Speaking to DAZN, Mike Krack acknowledges that Fernando Alonso was “very close to the podium”, although he asks to be “realistic” and also “patient”. That being said, the team hopes to see an evolution in Miami compared to what they experienced this weekend in Baku.
“The podium was very close, but you have to be realistic. We have a team that is way ahead of everyone. Only the third drawer remains. We have more positive points than negative today. We have fought for the podium, but we have to be patient.”
“We think that in Miami we will do better than in Baku. There are more medium and high speed corners there and there is also a long straight. It will be an interesting challenge and it’s good that we have these back-to-back races now.”
