Detroit Tigers game score vs. New York Yankees in spring: Time, TV

The Detroit Tigers faced off against the New York Yankees in a spring game, with the Yankees coming out on top with a final score of 4-2. The game, which aired on ESPN, began at 1:05 p.m. EDT, with the Tigers taking the early lead in the first inning.

The Yankees made their presence known in the fourth inning, however, when Brett Gardner scored off of a double from Aaron Judge. The Yankees then extended their lead in the sixth inning with a two-run home run from Giancarlo Stanton. The Tigers were able to score one run in the bottom of the sixth, but were unable to keep up with the Yankees’ momentum.

The Tigers’ pitcher Matthew Boyd kept the game close, striking out seven batters over six innings. However, the Yankees’ starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka was able to keep the Tigers’ offense at bay, allowing just two runs and four hits in six innings.

The Yankees’ bullpen was able to preserve the lead, with closer Aroldis Chapman coming on in the ninth inning to secure the 4-2 victory. The Tigers had their chances late in the game, but were ultimately unable to capitalize.

The loss is the Tigers’ fourth in their last five games, as the team looks to turn its season around. The Tigers will take the field again tomorrow night in Cleveland, looking for a chance to get back in the win column.
