24 Hours of Le Mans: The EWC classic / Endurance World Championship TV show

Traditionally, the FIM Endurance World Championship starts the new season with the 24 Hours of Le Mans. There are several options for fans to watch the regular live Saturday and Sunday.

With 48 teams, the start list for the first race of the motorcycle World Endurance Championship season is well packed. After a winter break, which lasted more than six months since the Bol d’Or in September, the best endurance teams in the world started business this week at the Circuit Bugatti. After the test on Tuesday, the first practice and qualifying sessions took place at the French track on Thursday.

On Friday, the Yamaha Racing Team Austria, as the current world champions with Marvin Fritz, Karel Hanika and Niccolo Canepa, had the best chance to start the 24-hour race on the long 4.185 km track. Mandy Kainz’s team scored the first 5 World Championship points of the year and beat Yoshimura SERT Motul (Black, Masson, Linfoot) and FCC TSR Honda with Josh Hook, Mike di Meglio and Alan Techer.

Saturday begins at Le Mans with warm-up from 10:30 am to 11:15 am The traditional Le Mans race then takes place at 3 pm to kick off the 2024 EWC season. According to the forecast, dry conditions are expected, but the temperature is predicted to be between one and eleven degrees Celsius – not the best conditions for this spectacular hunt for more than 24 hours.

If you didn’t make it to France to see the action in the stands, there are various opportunities to be there in person. The times of the heroes on the bike can be considered sector by sector through the official live time of the organizers.
