A 70-year-old woman receives a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport for her birthday

The woman was allowed to go to Molsheim, France, as a surprise on her birthday to set up her own Bugatti there. Before the first meeting with the design team took place, the birthday boy already knew what he wanted: a Chiron based on the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic. A lucky person had seen a pre-war Bugatti in a museum twenty years earlier and was immediately sold.

Nod to old Bugatti

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport ’57 was painted exactly the same color as the Atlantic. In addition, you have already noticed that the grille is different. The vertical bars with a thick bar in the middle are a clear reference to the Type 57. It is not known exactly when the car was produced, but it must have been some time ago.

You will also encounter the Type 57 several times in and around the vehicle. For example, a side view of an old car can be seen under the rear wing. It’s like getting a tattoo under your armpit. The silhouette is also visible inside the door panels. In addition, Rembrandt Bugatti’s ‘playing elephant’ was included in the headlines.

The brand does not reveal the price of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport ’57. Before you start setting up you have already spent almost three million. Not that you can still buy a new car, because the Chiron is no longer manufactured. The car is currently traveling around the United States. It will be shown at the Concours d’Elegance next year.
