There’s always a first time…

Time left until the start of the first edition of the Vicenza Classic Car Show, scheduled from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 April. Three days dedicated to the passion of classic and sports cars, organized in the pavilions of Exhibition of Vicenza. On the road of classic cars there will be models that represent a piece of historical motoring history and that will be an opportunity for discussion between experts, collectors, Federations, Clubs and Registers, curious people and car enthusiasts. At the door of Pavilion 7Three famous protagonists of the period between the 80s and 90s: Ferrari F40, Bugatti EB 110 GT and Lamborghini Diablo.

Ferrari F40

When was established in 1987berlinetta designed by Pininfarina it caused a sensation: an ugly style that seemed to be born for competition while being approved for street use. It was made serially using, almost exclusively, Kevlar and carbon composite panels. Refined engines combined with a high-quality chassis made it a car with excellent power characteristics, very close to those of example of competition. Thirty-five years later, its green charm remains unchanged and it proves itself as one of the most highly rated and coveted cars by collectors around the world.

Bugatti EB 110 GT

“This is a sports car manufactured between 1991-1995 by Bugatti Automobili, during its Italian management in Campogalliano factories (Modena), after the relaunch of the brand by the entrepreneur Romano Artioli di Paolo Stanzani who immediately set about creating the best high-performance car on the market”, say the organizers of the event. “After Stanzani left Bugatti with a technical direction of the car in July 1990, the project was followed by architect Giampaolo Benedini. The frame went from aluminum to carbonand the car was renewed in the original style proposed by Marcello Gandini. It was presented on 14 September 1991 in Paris and the following day in Molshein, home of Bugatti’s original workshop. The date chosen was not random: September 15 is the birthday of Ettore Bugatti, the one hundred and tenth anniversary of which took place in 1991. EB 110 GT, in fact, means Ettore Bugatti, 110 years, Gran Turismo”.

Lamborghini Diablo

“It was produced between 1990-200, its name was chosen by employee votes. It derives, according to the tradition of Casa Lamborghini, from the world of tauromachiaand is associated with the story of El Diablo (The Devil in Spanish), a ferocious bull bred by the Duke of Veragua in the 19th century.. This project was started in 1985 with the mission to succeed the wonderful Countach produced from 1974 to 1990 in more than 2200 units. Marcello Gandini’s original design was judged too aggressive by the management of Chrysler who had bought Lamborghini in 1987 and Gandini agreed to cooperate with the Center of Chrysler Style directed by Tom Gal for creating a definitive style, the first arrangement that takes the design of the iconic Countach”.

Other heart-pounding designs…

Also in Hall 7 are exhibitions of 777 Andrea Levy Collection and heart beating examples. Two cars that date back to the Yellow 777 Collection: 1000 HP Ferrari SF90 and Porsche GT3 RS.
