Leasing specialist LeasePlan Deutschland has evaluated its vehicle data for 2023 and published the 10 most popular vehicles among leasing and fleet management customers. The vans managed by LeasePlan are mainly used as transport and service vehicles. Ford Transit Custom came in first with a share of more than 16 percent of all new registrations. Transit Custom was reintroduced last year and immediately voted “International Van of the Year 2024”. Overall, Ford’s commercial vehicle division was able to take the top three spots with its Transit, Transit Custom and Transit Connect models. Additionally, Ford’s eTransit is the second most popular electric vehicle among LeasePlan customers. A popular electric transporter is the eVito from Mercedes-Benz. Compared to last year, electric vehicles were unable to make the top 10 this year, but instead ended up in 11th and 12th place behind conventional drives.
