The son of Rubens Barrichello will compete in the World Sports Car Championship (FIA WEC) in the 2025 season driving the Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3. His teammates at the time were Derek DeBoer and Valentin Hasse-Clot.
FIA WEC’s biggest family name in the 2025 season: Eduardo Barrichello will enter the World Sports Car Championship and drive the Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3. The British racing car is used by the Racing Spirit of Léman team. Of course, Eduardo Barrichello will not be alone in the cockpit in the 2025 season. His two companions will be gentleman driver Derek DeBoer and Aston Martin works driver Valentin Hasse-Clot.
Eduardo Barrichello was born in 2001 and is currently 23 years old. He was recently in the Brazilian Stock Car Series. Until 2022, he also stepped on the gas in a formula car. His father Rubens Barrichello has also competed in the WEC once. That was in 2017 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. There Rubens Barrichello drove a Dallara car in the LMP2 class.
Two Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3s will compete in the LMGT3 class of the FIA WEC in 2025. One car is used by Racing Spirit Team and the second is used by Racing Spirit of Léman, who are making their first appearance in the FIA WEC . Patrick Barbier’s team recently participated in the European Le Mans Series as well as the Le Mans Cup – and not only with Aston Martin, but also in the LMP3 class.
