Maserati wins in the first race of the GT2 European Series – Mondo Motorri


At the Paul Ricard circuit in France, the No. 1 Maserati GT2 of the LP Racing team took its first victory in the European Fanatec GT2 Series Powered by Pirelli. This is a historic period that reached Race 1, thanks to drivers Leonardo Gorini and Carlo Tamburini, during the opening phase of the season.
Furthermore, in the second test on the French track, the trident manufacturer achieved another podium and third place for the second car of the LP Racing team driven by Philippe Prette.
In Race 1, the number 1 Maserati GT2, which started from pole position, maintained its lead until the finish line, resisting the attacks of its rivals. Prette’s No. 2 Maserati, however, was involved in a crash and he finished ninth overall.
In Race 2, Philippe Prette redeemed himself with third place overall, which brought him success in the Am Cup. Another LP Racing team car, with Gorini and Tamburini at the wheel, finished 13th following contact. when he was fighting for the final victory.
