Emil Frey takes over Mercedes-Benz Dealer companies

Emil Frey will take over Mercedes-Benz Dealers (MBDB), the retailer reports in a press release. According to the approval of the Dutch Consumer and Markets Authority (ACM), the intended transaction is expected to be completed before the third quarter of 2024.

Emil Frey, Chairman of the Board Simon Luijckx: “The Mercedes-Benz brand is a great addition to our portfolio. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz Dealerships have built a strong position in the southwest of the Netherlands. With the current management, we want to expand this space further.

Emil Frey is in third place in the top 60 holding seller. In 2023, new corporate sales (including pickup trucks) reached 23,600. Emil Frey sold approximately 28,900 used cars (B2C and B2B) in 2023. Like last year, the Van Mossel Automotive Group is in first place in the Top 60. The company’s new sales (including pickup trucks) totaled 54,647 vehicles. Used sales (B2C and B2B) reached 59,737 vehicles. Hedin Automotive Netherlands ranked second last year and sold 25,493 new cars and 23,627 used cars.
