MILENCE ROUEN

In addition to the plans to deploy electric charging stations on highways, the opening of the first station on April 18 in Milence begins the creation of a national network that almost does not exist until now.

A joint venture between the Volvo, Daimler and Traton groups has launched its heavy-duty electric vehicle charging station in Heudebouville, 40 kilometers south of Rouen, at the crossroads between Paris, Le Havre, Caen and Dieppe.

The facility, open to all types of trucks, includes four CCS (Charging Combined System) chargers with a maximum capacity of 400 KWtts on four charging lanes. The second phase, which should be operational by the end of the year, will include the installation of additional charging stations with Megawatt Charging (MCS) technology providing power of close to 1MW and longer charging times.

€0.4 per kWh

Milence has signed agreements with various e-mobility service providers (eMSPs) in Europe. Their cards can be used to make payments. “Other agreements will also be concluded soon”, mentions the operator in a press release. Milence’s default billing rate is set at EUR 0.4 (0.399EUR) per kWh, excluding fees and transaction fees.

« With the opening of Heudebouville, Milence launches its second payment center in Europe and expands its operations to the French market. We are now in the deployment phase and this is just the beginning. In the coming months, we will continue our development with several important sites located along the main axes of the equipment », announces Anja van Niersen, CEO of Milence.
