1200 horsepower each, while the Tesla Model S killed the Chevrolet Corvette

In this video, a 1,200 hp twin-turbo C8 Corvette is pitted against an equally powerful Tesla Model S Plaid. What? How much of America’s classic car was ruined by the modified Model S Plaid?

In life, there are battles worth fighting and battles that seem lost early on. In a car race, everything can be decided by a hundred or a full lap behind. Here, mechanical logic can no longer be implemented, since carwow testers saw fit to compare the premium Corvette C8 against the modified Tesla Model S Plaid. What was going on in their minds to know if any fight was fair?

Several steps forward from the first pedal stroke

The Corvette C8 Z06 from this race however has been heavily modified for this fight. Developed by Peitz Motorsport, the American supercar draws 1,200 hp from its LS2 6.2 twin-turbo V8, with 1,491 Nm of torque! The box and mapping have been reworked to support this power boost. On the outside, new compounds have been installed, including radial tires borrowed from the world of Drag Racing.. But on the contrary, there is a monster that leaves (almost) everyone behind.

In its Plaid version, the Tesla Model S is also heavily modified. Already powerful with 1,020 original hp, this version delivers 1,200 horsepower to 4-wheel drive through 3 electric motors. (1,420 Nm of torque). The exterior is equipped only four new tires, lightweight rims, a carbon fiber blade and a spoiler of the same material. This Model S Plaid goes so fast that a parachute was added to it to help it stand up!

Three races from a standing start and another at 80 km/h were needed to decide between the two cars. This Corvette will cough up its lungs so much that it will lose fuel at the end of the run…
