England: Pub landlord advertises on low signal and gets into trouble

Former model and housewife Jodie Kidd (44) has a lot of problems on her cheek. Literally!

A risqué pub sign has angered people in Kidford, England. It featured former model and restaurateur Jodie Kidd posing in front of a full moon. City officials threw a spanner in Kidd’s works, reporting “ Know“.

“The Half Moon” is a bar with culture. It is located in Kidford (Sussex), a village in the south-east of England. Only 900 people live there. They didn’t find Kidd’s “Crescent” funny, though. The villagers wanted their old symbol to return. The city administration put pressure.

“We had to take it down because we received so many complaints,” Kidd explains. “It was very sad.”

Originally, the 44-year-old wanted to do something good with the idea. Kidd planned to raise money for charity as part of a campaign for the Belgian beer company Artois. Dozens of traditional pubs participated. They all had their signs renewed.

“The campaign was there to raise money for people in the sector who are suffering from rising energy bills. I was proud to be a part of the campaign,” said the former model. The original painting has now been auctioned along with several copies.

In April, the British Beer and Pub Association announced that pubs’ energy costs would rise by an average of more than €20,000 a year. However, Kidd does not want to fail. He says firmly: “You’d have to kick me and scream.”

Who is Jodie Kidd?

Jodie Kidd is a true superstar in England. She started her career as a model at the young age of 15.

The child loves variety. He also started a racing career in 2003 when he appeared on the PS Top Gear show and drove a Maserati. He is also an active polo player and regularly competes for the Apes Hill Polo team in Barbados. He has also made a name for himself on TV as a celebrity guest and host.

Kidd lives in Sussex and has a house there. He has one child and has been married twice. However, both marriages did not last.
