The airline revealed there, among other things, new interiors for Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which will join the fleet in Q3 this year, and will then be installed on the airline’s B787s currently in use.

The extensive modernization of the modern cabins covers all Etihad Dreamliners, namely the Boeing B787-9 and B787-10. In the next two or three years, new cabins will be installed, including a new business and economy class. The first aircraft to receive the new interior will be the three new machines received in the fall of this year. from Boeing. Then, the replacement of seats in the currently used machines will begin.

Currently, Etihad has 90 aircraft in its fleet, including 39 Dreamliners: 30 B787-9s and nine large B787-10s. The carrier is awaiting delivery of 32 dreamliners: 11 B787-9 and 21 B787-10. After changing the deck, the carrier’s Dreamliners in the -9 version will carry 303 passengers: 32 in business class and 271 in economy class. The larger B787 will take 336 passengers on board: 32 in business class and 304 in economy.

Each of the 32 seats in this class will have direct aisle access as the 1-2-1 configuration is used. In economy class, the Boeing 787 will have 271 seats, in a 3-3-3 configuration, which is lighter than those currently used. This will help the line to save fuel.
