Fabio Quartararo: MX practice resumed / MotoGP

In December, Fabio Quartararo injured his left hand while training on a motocross bike. 45 days after the accident, last year’s World Championship runner-up was back on his MX bike.

On December 12, Fabio Quartararo shared on Instagram that he broke his left arm in a fall during motocross practice. Although the injury did not require surgery, the 2021 world champion and last year’s World Cup runner-up suffered a fall during his pre-season training.

Presenting the Yamaha factory team, the Frenchman revealed: “Normally we can train on the bike in the winter, but for me it was more cardio training this year. But I worked non-stop to be 100 percent fit.”

And Quartararo announced: “It’s been more than a month now. I’m feeling better and I’ll start training on the bike again next week. I’ve missed it and I’m really looking forward to it; the last few weeks have been intense.”

Right after he said it: As his Instagram story shows, the 23-year-old from Nice trained again on the MX bike at Fox Raceway in California with Moto2 star Tony Arbolino. He was previously present at the San Diego MXGP Factory Team Presentation before the second round of the AMA Supercross series.

«El Diablo» will still have a few days to complete his MX training before the official MotoGP test starts on February 10 in Sepang.
