Failure to give way and alcohol causes serious road accidents
Krasnystaw police officers intervened yesterday in two serious road accidents. In addition, two drunk drivers were arrested. In Rołki – Kolonia, an Audi driver did not give way to a motorcyclist, and in Fajsławice a drunken Audi driver left the road and entered a culvert. The man had about 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. The police want everyone to use discretion and be careful on the road!
The first road accident happened yesterday at 16:00 in the city of Rołki – Cologne. The officer on duty of the Krasnystaw police division received a report of a motorcyclist being hit. Rescue services were immediately dispatched to the site. According to the results of the officers, a 26-year-old resident of Zamość poviat, driving an Audi passenger car, did not take special care and did not give way to the motorcyclist, causing a traffic collision, as a result. in which the Honda driver, a 25-year-old resident of the Rudnik district, drove off the road and overturned. The man was taken by ambulance to the emergency department of the hospital in Krasnystaw. After examination, it was found that he did not suffer any serious injuries.
The Audi driver was fined heavily for causing a threat to road safety.
In the second case, the duty officer of the Krasnystaw police officers was informed about a passenger car that fell off the road in front of Fajsławice, and the driver was probably drunk.
The incident happened before 19:00 on the national road DK17 on the Lublin-Fajsławice route. Immediately the police rushed to the scene. As they determined, a 26-year-old resident of the Fajsławice district, driving an Audi passenger car, did not adjust the speed according to the road conditions, lost control of the car and entered the culvert. When officers arrived at the scene, the man was sitting in the passenger seat and initially claimed he was not driving the vehicle. After examining the 26-year-old with a breathalyzer, it was found that he had about 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. During the investigation, the police found that he was the driver of the car. Now he will have to explain himself in court for his irresponsible behavior. In addition to severe financial penalties, a driving ban, he is threatened with imprisonment for up to 2 years.
On the same day in the evening, the police detained a 52-year-old resident of Rejowiec district, who was driving an Opel car in Wierzchowiny with about 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. Not only did the man get behind the wheel in such a situation, but after checking the police databases, it turned out that in April he was suspended for driving a car for exceeding the speed limit in a built-up area by more than 50 km / h.
