Two small teams from the champion Volleyball Club Surf

On the last day of the minis competition (volleyball players under 12 years old), two teams from Hoevelaken won.

First of all, the Surf mini N5–1 team. The team consists of Emma Huurdeman, Lise Hoeve, Nienke Niemeijer and Fien van Veelen. N5-1 has experienced significant growth. They finished the first half without appearing in the middle of the table. However, they did not give a set in the second half! 12 matches they won 2-0. The party was last Saturday. The first match was against No. 2 Woudenberg. Surf would only need 1 set to receive the championship level. The Surf started nervously, but won convincingly 37-29. Woudenberg had no answer to the soft attack of 3-and-play and good. The tension was gone so the second set was a 33-15 walk.

The next champion is the Surf mini N4-1. These heroes include Nova Rakhorst, Tessa Brinkhuis, Milou van Valkengoed, Nathalja van Wilgenburg and Sara Los. This team is coached by Arwin van Wilgenburg. This team has also developed a lot. In the first half of the season they finished ‘only’ in fourth place. It was not easy for them, because they were in a group of 5 teams, they often had to play three matches in one morning. Then you must come from a good history in terms of collection! N4-1 also started a little bit of tension against SSS, so the result was the same. However, Surf kept a cool head and managed to win this match in the final round. N4-1 sniffed the championship and they didn’t let it slip through their fingers: SDS lost by a wide margin, meaning that N4-1 was also allowed to lift the winners’ trophy!
