Ford introduced the new Mustang Mach-E this week and updated the electric SUV for 2024. The new rear engine and other improvements ensure a range of 32 kilometers more, 500 kilometers (EPA figures in the USA) can be broken.
Something also happens with fast charging, now you can reach 80 percent in 36.2 minutes and with a small battery it is 32.3 minutes. That’s sometimes over 8 minutes faster, but the Ford never gets under the 30-minute mark.
Ford compares itself to Tesla and Porsche
But that didn’t really matter to Ford, because something else was more important. Ford announces the new 2024 Mach-E by saying that you can drown the performance of the Tesla Model Y and the new Porsche Macan Elektro at the start.
It takes 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph, so you should reach 100 km/h in 3.4 or 3.5 seconds. That’s enough for Tesla and partly for Porsche, but not for the Macan Turbo. However, for this new record you need a Ford Mustang Mach-E GT with performance upgrades. And what about Germany?
The new electric Mustang has so far only been announced for the American market yet there is no announcement for Germany. So we have no date, no price yet and no final WLTP information, that should come later.
