A fatal crash in Kosciusko County left one man dead and several others injured on Tuesday, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred when a vehicle travelling southbound on a local road collided with another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. The force of the collision caused one of the vehicles to then crash into a utility pole.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, who was identified as a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
The other occupants of the vehicle, all of whom were adults, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries, the statement said. Their conditions were not immediately known.
The driver and two passengers in the other vehicle were also taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, the sheriff’s office said. Their conditions were not immediately known, either.
The crash is under investigation by the sheriff’s office, and no further details were immediately available.
